[Object] To provide an imaging device for capturing an infrared image, the device which can accurately count the number of "microparticles not finely crushed or ground" even by a computer or the like, by emitting infrared light on an artificial food mass that is as an imaging object during image capture, and by capturing an image of the infrared light passing through the artificial food mass by the imaging device. [Solution] An imaging device for capturing an image of an imaging object that is an artificial food mass, in which a light-transmissive microparticle is contained in a base material having a property of blocking infrared light, includes imaging means for capturing the image of the imaging object from one side and an infrared light source that emits infrared light on the imaging object from the other side of the imaging object. The imaging means includes visible-light removing means for not receiving visible light. The imaging means captures the image of the imaging object while the infrared light source emits the infrared light on the imaging object.본 발명은 촬영 시 피촬영 대상인 인공식괴에 대해서 적외광을 조사하는 동시에, 인공식괴를 투과한 적외광을 촬영장치에 의해서 촬영함으로써, 「미세하게 분쇄, 갈아 바수어져 있지 않은 미립자」의 계수를, 컴퓨터 등에 의해서도 정밀도 좋게 행하는 것이 가능한 적외 화상을 촬영하기 위한 촬영장치를 제공하는 것을 과제로 한다. 상기 과제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 발명에 의하면, 적외광을 차단하는 성질을 지니는 기재에, 광투과성을 지니는 미립자가 함유된 인공식괴인 피촬영 대상을 촬영하기 위한 촬영장치로서, 피촬영 대상을 한쪽으로부터 촬영하기 위한 촬영 수단과, 피촬영 대상의 다른 쪽으로부터, 피촬영 대상에 적외광을 조사하는 적외광원을 구비하고, 촬영 수단은, 가시광을 수광하지 않기 위한 가시광 제거수단을 가지고, 적외광원에 의해서 피촬영 대상에 적외광을 조사한 상태에서, 촬영 수단에 의해서 피촬영 대상을 촬영한다.
