PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a positional relationship of the image to an examination object easy to grasp while making it easy to search and grasp a notable site.SOLUTION: A tomographic image obtaining section 102 obtains an ultrasonic tomographic image 501 imaged sequentially and sent to an image processing apparatus 100. An approximation plane generation section 116 generates a plane including a lesion location and approximating a group of corresponding points. A cross-section generation section 118 calculates a replacement section where a posture parameter as a part of the approximate plane is replaced with a fixed value, and generates a corresponding section by estimating in-plane mobile-component.
