Abstract "Intravenous blood control catheter with antimicrobial properties" is presented a medical device that includes a fluid path and a slidingly housed septum within the fluid path. The septum may be opened by a septum actuator arranged in a fixed position within the fluid path. In some instances, both the septum actuator and the septum have at least one surface exposed to the fluid path.
