PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a posture retaining device for pets and a bathing device for pets which enable an owner to wash the whole body of a pet easily while keeping a posture of the pet constant and can assist the pet in standing by itself or walking by itself when the pet is aged.SOLUTION: A posture retaining device 1A for pets is configured to retain a pet in a standing posture or a sitting posture. The posture retaining device 1A for pets includes a device body 10 and leg parts 30. The device body 10 has a frame body 14 disposed to be substantially horizontal and posture retaining means 20 which is put across the inside of the frame body 14 and supports at least a part of a trunk of the pet. Holes 22 through which legs of the pet are penetrated are formed in the posture retaining means 20 or between the frame body 14 and the posture retaining means 20.
