The present invention relates to the field of medicine. Said invention relates, specifically, to the use of compounds in order to prevent and/or treat, a fat intoxication in a subject, in particular a fat intoxication by hypoxia. The invention also relates to compositions, in particular, to the pharmaceutical compositions and the nutritional supplements, including such compounds, as well as to uses thereof in preventing and/or treating a fat intoxication, in particular, a fat intoxication by hypoxia. The compounds and compositions according to the invention can, in particular, be advantageously used for preventing and/or treating a disease selected from the pulmonary diseases, in particular, cystic fibrosis or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
