Provided is the use of testosterone and a 5-HT1A agonist in the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of sexual dysfunction, wherein said medicament is used on demand, wherein said 5-HT1A agonist is released essentially one hour before and said testosterone essentially 3.5-5.5 hours prior to sexual activity so that the peak effects of the 5-HT1A agonist and testosterone partly overlap, wherein said testosterone is provided as a short-lasting peak, and wherein the amount of testosterone is at most 2.5 mg.
