PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized camera module for an endoscope to be mounted on the distal end of an insertion portion of an endoscope.SOLUTION: The camera module 30 includes an objective optical system 32, and a lens moving mechanism 36. The objective optical system 32 includes a second lens 40 and a prism 44. The second lens 40, which is a movable lens for magnification, is moved by the lens moving mechanism 36 having a motor 50. The prism 44 has a reflection surface 44b inclined at an angle of 45° to an optical axis of the second lens 40. The motor 50 is disposed behind the prism 44 with a drive shaft 56 inclined to the longitudinal direction of an insertion portion 13.
