The present invention relates to a beverage composition including a Backhousia citriodora extract as an active ingredient and having functions of activating antioxidation and preventing or alleviating wrinkles. The present invention has been completed on the basis of confirmation of an antioxidant function and a collagen synthesizing function of a Backhousia citriodora extract. In addition, according to the present invention, a beverage including the Backhousia citriodora extract has the lemon fragrances of Backhousia citriodora, but is not suitable when producing a beverage due to an astringent and bitter taste thereof. To remedy such a problem, various tests have been performed. As a result, an optimal extraction temperature and the kinds and content ratios of additional components are confirmed, and thus the present invention has been completed on the basis thereof. Thus, a beverage not only exhibiting functions of activating antioxidation and preventing or alleviating wrinkles but also showing excellent palatability when being drunk has been produced. In this respect, the food composition of the present invention has an excellent function of preventing or alleviating skin wrinkles through not only an antioxidant function but also a collagen generation promoting function. Thus, the beverage composition of the present invention has an excellent beatification improving effect, and an astringent and bitter taste of a Backhousia citriodora extract, which causes repulsion, is not felt. A fragrance similar to that of a lemon is excellently ensured, so excellent palatability is ensured.
