Novel 3-acylaminobenzanilides of the formula (I) wherein R representsphenyl which may be substituted or a 5-member or 6-member heterocyclic ring group,which may be substituted, containing at least one hetero-atom selected fromthe group consisting of N, O, and S R represents halogen, Calkyl, or C haloalkyl R represents Chaloalkyl, C haloalkoxy, C1-6 haloalkylthio, Chaloalkylsulfinyl, or C haloalkylsulfonyl R representshalogen, C1-6 alkyl, or C1-6 haloalkyl X represents halogen, Calkyl, or C haloalkyl and n represents O or 1 and the compounds areused as insecticides, and a use of the new compounds as insecticides.
