PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a growth promotion method of a plant that can reduce a cultivation cost, and can accelerate the growth of a plant.SOLUTION: The growth promotion method of a plant is characterized as follows. Seeds of a plant are sowed, the exposure to NO2 is begun within 14 days at latest after the seeding, is stopped by seven days before the harvesting at latest. In addition, the period of exposure to NO2 is continued at least seven days and at most 28 days. The exposure to NO2 is performed only for an early period after seeding, thereby a growth cost can be reduced.
