It is a sensor that measures skin conductance. An amplifier is used to convert skin conductance to an analog output voltage. The analog output voltage is converted to the digital domain, whereby an increase in tonic skin conductance and a compatible skin conductance response are obtained in the digital domain. The amplifier has non-linear logarithmic gain and has decreasing gain with increasing skin conductance values. The sensor allows detection of increases in tonicity and affinity signals over a wide range of skin conductances.
