PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical dilator, simplifying operation to shorten the operation time, and minimizing a change in insertion resistance value in dilating tissue.
SOLUTION: This medical dilator includes: a small-diameter dilating member having an inner cavity allowing a guide wire to penetrate therethrough and a first tapered part tapered toward the tip and a large-diameter dilating member having an inner cavity where the small-diameter dilating member is removably assembled, and a second tapered part tapered toward the tip. The ratio (A):(B) of the first tapered part angle (A) of the small-diameter dilating member and the second tapered part angle (B) of the large-diameter dilating member is from 1:1.3 to 1:1.7 both inclusive.
