PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weed control material and its usage in which a cure period is short and initial strength development is high, a frost damage at early age and cracking resistivity are applied, labor of mowing can be reduced, and persistence of weed control and environmental protection can be ensured.SOLUTION: (1) A weed control material is formed by containing a calcium aluminate, polymer for cement admixture and soil. (2) Further, the weed control material of (1) is formed by containing gypsum. (3) The weed control material of (1) or (2) contains the calcium aluminate CaO/Al2O3 having a molar ratio of 1.0-3.0 and impurities of 15 mass% or less. (4) Further, any weed control material of (1) to (3) is formed by containing fibers. (5) Further, any weed control material of (1) to (4) is formed by containing a calcium silicate. (6) The usage of the weed control material is provided by spreading any weed control material of (1) to (5) on the ground to be watered and coated thereupon.
