PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper arm supporting apparatus and an upper arm assist device capable of realizing the smooth movement of an upper arm of a user.SOLUTION: The upper face of a shoulder frame 12 is provided with guide rails 14. One guide rail 14R is disposed along a direction extending to slightly ahead the right side of the central side of the shoulder width direction S of the shoulder frame 12 and the right tip portion is projected outward the right end portion of the shoulder frame 12. On the guide rail 14R, a moving plate 16 is engaged with the guide rail 14R.
