PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which can effectively prevent a skin on a wearers back from getting wet with urine.SOLUTION: This disposable diaper includes an auxiliary absorbent part 10 provided on a liquid-permeable top sheet 22 and solid gather portions 30 each provided on both sides extending in a front-back direction. The auxiliary absorbent part 10, which stretches in the front-back direction between side lines near the roots of the solid gather portions 30, comprises a fixed base line 11 laterally located at the middle, and main parts 12 and 13 longitudinally extending from the fixed base line 11. Of the main parts 12 and 13, a proximal end part on the side of the fixed base line 11 constitutes a liquid-permeable portion 12, and a distal end part constitutes an absorbent portion 13.
