In some embodiments, the A 3 AR ligand is selected from an A 3 AR agonist and an A 3 AR allosteric enhancer. The present disclosure also provides methods and pharmaceutical compositions for treating sexual dysfunction comprising administering a predetermined amount of an A 3 adenosine receptor (A 3 AR) ligand to a subject having a sexual dysfunction .
