PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary tiller having a rear cover-adjusting means by which a rear cover covering the rear portion of the rotary tiller and can be switched into an automatic lock position, a fixed position, or a frictional holding position also used as a free state.SOLUTION: The rear cover 20 of the rotary tiller 1 is connected to a main cover 18 having a rear cover-adjusting means 30 through a hanging rod 27, and can be fixed to an arbitrary position. The rear cover-adjusting means 30 has an operation pin 33 energized with springs 35, 35, and a lock pin 32, and the lock pin 32 can be operated independently from the operation pin 33.
