The invention provides a pacing system comprising a signalling device in the form of an electric toothbrush which is adapted to prompt a user, during performance of an oral care operation comprising a first activity related to oral care such as toothbrushing, to also perform a second, not oral care related activity in a manner that is timely coordinated by an output signal emitted by the signalling device. The second activity may for instance be a paced breathing exercise or another health-beneficial exercise.
