The present invention relates in general to a device to assist in the prevention of snoring. The device comprising: a membrane shaped as an elongate oval having opposed sides and opposed arcuate ends, the membrane having a front and a rear face； a hypoallergenic adhesive applied uniformly to the rear face of said membrane, and a backing sheet which covers the adhesive on the back of said membrane； at least one tab formed at one of the arcuate ends of the membrane, such that the at least one tab allows the membrane to be easily manipulated between open and closed positions； and wherein the device is sized and configured to substantially cover a user's closed lips and an area of skin adjacent to each lip to hold the lips in a closed position and therefore provide a good seal of the device to the area around the mouth of the user.
