The present disclosure provides a shoulder prosthesis 100. The shoulder joint prosthesis includes a glenoid component 104, a humeral component 102 and a joint component 106. The glenoid component includes a glenoid body having a proximal surface and a distal surface, the distal surface being shaped to engage with a resected portion of the glenoid. The humeral component includes a humeral body having a proximal surface and a distal surface, the distal surface being shaped to engage with a resected portion of the humeral. The joint component can be disposed between the proximal surface of the glenoid component and the proximal surface of the humeral component, and the joint component can be implanted with the glenoid component by at least one of the deltoid muscle and the rotator cuff after implantation. It is configured to be maintained between the humeral component.
