PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for bone induction regeneration having rigidity capable of holding a desired shape on a bone defect area, and having an open hole where an extracellular liquid can transmit but cells forming soft tissues cannot transmit.SOLUTION: A substrate for bone induction regeneration is stuck to or covers a surrounding of a bone defect area, for inducing and regenerating a defected bone, the substrate for bone induction regeneration is a foil body formed of only a living body compatible metal, and has plural open holes whose open size is 10-200 &mum so that an extracellular liquid can transmit but cell tissues cannot transmit therethrough, and thickness of the substrate for bone induction regeneration is 30-60 &mum.
