The present invention discloses methods of use of facially amphiphilic polyaryl and polyarylalkynyl polymers and oligomers, including, but not limited to, pharmaceutical uses of the polymers and oligomers as antimicrobial agents and as antidotes for hemorrhagic complications associated with heparin therapy.
