PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support, thereby facilitating diagnosis of a heart.SOLUTION: An analyzer in an embodiment includes a specification unit, a calculation unit, and a control unit. The specification unit specifies at least a part of a contour of a heart for each image corresponding to a first cardiac time phase and an image corresponding to a second cardiac time phase that are included in time-series images including the heart of a subject. The calculation unit calculates, using the information about the specified contours, a first cardiac function parameter representing at least one of a volume or an ejection fraction of a heart chamber and a second cardiac function parameter representing a global strain of a myocardium corresponding to the heart chamber.
