PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which visually detects the risk of leakage from the waist and is capable of preventing the leakage from the waist and efficiently utilizing the absorption capacity of the diaper.
SOLUTION: In the disposable diaper comprising a liquid permeable surface sheet 2, a leakage prevention sheet 3 and a practically vertically long absorbent body 4 interposed between both sheets, indicator composite materials 7a and 7B composed by fixing an indicator 71 to be discolored by being in contact with urine to a sheet material 72 are disposed between the end edge 4a in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent body 4 and the waist edge end 5a of the diaper, the indicator composite materials 7a and 7B are disposed in the state of being adjacent to the end edge 4a of the absorbent body or in the state of being partially overlapped with the part near the end edge 4a of the absorbent body 4, and the indicator 71 is extended along the width direction of the absorbent body 4.
