A cosmetic agent for the treatment of keratinic fibres, in particular human hair, which comprises a powder containing hydrophobically modified silicon dioxide and particles comprising a silicone elastomer. Preferably, the particles comprising a silicone elastomer are a composite material comprising a cross-linked a polyorganosiloxane and silicon dioxide, preferably a silica silylate. The particles may have an average particle size of from 0.1 to 20µm. Preferably, the hydrophobically modified silicone dioxide is a silylation product of a reaction of a precipitated silica and/or a fumed silica with an organosilicon compound such as an alkylsiloxane such as trimethysilane or hexamethyldisilazane. The cosmetic agent may comprise from 50 to 90%wt water, 5 to 30%wt of the hydrophobically modified silicon dioxide； and from 2 to 30%wt particles comprising the silicone elastomer. The cosmetic agent may be provided in a spray applicator.
