PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray image photographing apparatus capable of appropriately performing change of a pulse rate.SOLUTION: An X-ray image photographing apparatus of an embodiment comprises: an X-ray generation unit for generating a pulse X-ray； a control unit for controlling a pulse rate of the pulse X-ray； an X-ray detection unit for detecting an X-ray having penetrated a subject； an image processing unit for generating an X-ray image having a pulse rate differing from the current pulse rate as a reference image, on the basis of output of the X-ray detection unit； an image processing unit that, by using the generated X-ray image, estimates an X-ray image having a pulse rate differing from the X-ray image's pulse rate to generate a reference image； and a display unit for displaying the reference image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
