PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical implement whose manipulation is drastically simplified and which includes a small number of components, such as, an intravascular free piece capturing implement that captures an ablated atheroma or thrombus.SOLUTION: A medical implement includes an outer tube 11 that is inserted into a body, a core member 12 that passes through the outer tube 11 so that it can advance or withdraw, a medical implement body 2 that is attached to a region of the core member 12 jutted out of the outer tube 11 and is operated when receiving a predetermined driving force, and a cylindrical storage member 6 that is attached to the distal end of the outer tube 11 and has the distal part thereof, in which the medical implement body 2 is stored, opened when inserted into the body. When the outer tube 11 is advanced relatively to the core member 12, if the storage member 6 is re-approached to the medical implement body 2, which is jutted out of the storage member 6, at an intended location in the body, the driving force acts on the medical implement body 2 by means of the storage member 6.
