Provided is an iron oxide nanocapsule which has extremely excellent water dispersibility, which is very stable in the body and which has very excellent MR I contrast ability, a method of manufacturing the same, and an MRI contrast agent using the same. The method of manufacturing the iron oxide nanocapsule includes the steps of: thermally decomposing an iron complex to prepare hydrophobic ligand-bonded iron oxide nanoparticles and encapsulating the hydrophobic ligand-bonded iron oxide nanoparticles by a carboxymethyldextrandodecylamine conjugate encapsulation material or a dextran-linoleic acid conjugate encapsulation material to form an iron oxide nanocapsule.Cette invention concerne une nanocapsule en oxyde de fer qui a une excellente dispersibilité dans leau, qui est très stable dans le corps et qui a une excellente aptitude au contraste en IRM, son procédé de fabrication, et un agent de contraste IRM lutilisant. Le procédé de fabrication de la nanocapsule en oxyde de fer selon linvention comprend les étapes suivantes : la décomposition thermique dun complexe de fer pour préparer des nanoparticules en oxyde de fer liées à un ligand hydrophobe et lencapsulation desdites nanoparticules en oxyde de fer liées à un ligand hydrophobe dans un matériau dencapsulation de type conjugué de carboxyméthyldextrane-dodécylamine ou un matériau dencapsulation de type conjugué de dextrane-acide linoléique pour former une nanocapsule en oxyde de fer.
