PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of spherical and hydrophilic particles using a block copolymer composed of a hydrophilic polymer segment and a hydrophobic polymer segment for providing particles being carried and injected without causing aggregation clogging mainly in a medical devices such as a catheter, a needle and a syringe, or in the blood vessel, or for providing particles surely blocking the blood vessel.
SOLUTION: The spherical and hydrophilic particle is produced by adding and mixing solution (an oil phase) formed of a block copolymer formed by copolymerizing the hydrophilic polymer segment with the hydrophobic polymer segment, having the weight ratio of the hydrophobic polymer segment to the hydrophilic polymer segment of 0.5-10 and organic solvent, to a water phase formed of emulsified agent, water-soluble organic solvent with solubility parameter of not less than 9 (cal/cm)
