H. pylori infection can be detected by analyzing urease activity in a biopsy sample. The present invention relates to a test device, a reactive element and an arrangement which are can be used in detection of urease activity in a sample such as a biopsy sample. The device comprising a reactive element with urea and indicator allows digital reading of the result. The invention relates also to a method of preparing a reactive element suitable for use with the device and the arrangement disclosed.
