The present invention generally relates to methods and compositions fortreating pathogenic vaginal biofilms. Morespecifically, the invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprisinga combination of boric acid and diethylaminetetraceticacid (EDTA) and to methods of using such compositions to treat or preventbiofilm formation associated with vaginal infections,such as bacterial vaginosis (BV), vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC),trichomoniasis or mixed infections.
