PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shape a form of a vortex detected using an ultrasonic wave.SOLUTION: A velocity vector operation part 40 derives a two-dimensional velocity vector in a scanning surface from velocity information in an ultrasonic beam direction on a blood flow, and forms the distribution of the velocity vector in the scanning surface. A vortex detection part 50 tracks a fluid flow based on the distribution of the two-dimensional velocity vector acquired in the velocity vector operation part 40 so as to detect a vortex in the fluid.
