To improve comfort and safety by preventing a pair of frames each supporting casters from suddenly closing during use and by facilitating operation of closing in a walking aid having a pair of frames which support the casters by the lower ends thereof and are connected swingably at the upper end thereof.
SOLUTION: In the walking aid, in a state that front and rear frames 2 and 3 are closed and a line segment which connects swinging centers 8c and 8f at each of both swingable ends of an arch 8 inclines in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the rear frame 3, and a stop member 11 restricts the further downward movement of one slidable end of the arch 8. The rear frame 3 has lifting members 21 and 22 which lifts the slidable end of the arch 8 from the state where the line segment is inclined in the perpendicular direction to the state where the line segment is in the perpendicular direction and further to the state where the line segment is inclined toward the opposite side and in a state that the front and rear frames 2 and 3 are opened.
