The method of obtaining an element of a medical product includes provision of a preliminarily manufactured product, provision of a coating composition, application of the coating on the preliminarily manufactured product in order to obtain the element of the medical device, selected from tubes and catheters, which has on it a layer of the said coating composition, and irradiation of the coating composition by UV or visible region light for covalent cross-linking of the coating composition. The coating composition contains one or several hydrophilic polymers as a polymer component and low-molecular weight skeletons, which include photoinitiator components in an amount of 0.01-20 wt %, and the preliminarily manufactured product contains a polymer, selected from a copolymer of ethylene - (meth)acrylic acid thermal polymer of ethylene - (meth)acrylic acid - acrylic acid ester and ionomer of ethylene - (meth)acrylic acid.
