PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield coil for magnetic resonance imaging which exhibits sure and stable shield performance to a desired shield object, and reducing superconducting material to be used to be more inexpensively manufactured.SOLUTION: A passive type shield coil 12S for shielding a magnetic field generated from a magnetic field generating coil provided in the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, is provided. The shield coil 12S is formed of a superconducting material, has a sheet shape when viewed from a thickness direction, and has a plurality of holes 21B.
