The rehabilitation ability of the user is evaluated by comparing the first rehabilitation action and a target position represented by the target image, and the target position is updated in accordance with an evaluation result. Furthermore, a second rehabilitation action of the user during the first rehabilitation action is detected, and the rehabilitation ability is evaluated based on both the first rehabilitation action and the second rehabilitation action. In addition, when at least a predetermined evaluation is made only for the first rehabilitation action, the rehabilitation ability is evaluated based on both the first rehabilitation action and the second rehabilitation action.
