The present invention belongs, in a general manner to the technological field of the pharmaceutical industry and relates, more specifically, to one or more compositions of second use to be destined for the treatment of melasma, in particular in cases of melasma classified as telangiectatic. The present invention relates to the use of substances belonging to the group of alpha-adrenergic receptor agonists, in different variable concentrations, for treating conditions of melasma upon human skin. Furthermore, the present invention discloses pharmaceutical compositions, the latter being associated or not with other compounds or methods of treatment, to be utilised for the treatment of telangiectatic melasma.
