According to the present invention, the method for manufacturing an areca palm extract includes: a step of preparing an areca palm； a step of obtaining an areca palm hot water extract by obtaining a liquid excluding a solid after heating the areca palm with water； a step of obtaining a first areca palm concentrate by concentrating the liquid； a step of obtaining an areca palm alcohol extract by heating the solid with alcohol； a step of obtaining a second areca palm concentrate by obtaining the liquid from the alcohol extract and concentrating the liquid； and a step of obtaining a mixture liquid in which the first areca palm concentrate and second areca palm concentrate are mixed. According to the present invention, the method for manufacturing an areca palm extract to enhance the content of an active ingredient can extract a high content of the caffeine and theacrine, which are the active ingredients from the areca palm, at the same time. The method for manufacturing an areca palm extract to enhance the content of an active ingredient can provide an environmentally friendly extraction method. Also, the present invention provides a composition for preventing Alzheimer′s containing an areca palm extract manufactured by the method for manufacturing an areca palm extract.유효 성분의 함량 증진을 위한 아레카 야자 추출물 제조방법 및 이 추출물을 함유하는 알츠하이머 예방용 조성물을 제공한다. 본 발명에 따른 아레카 야자 추출방법은, 아레카 야자를 준비하는 단계, 아레카 야자를 물과 함께 가열한 후, 고형분을 배제한 액상을 취하여 아레카 야자 열수추출물을 얻는 단계, 액상을 농축하여 제1 아레카 야자 농축액을 얻는 단계, 고형분을 주정과 함께 가열하여 아레카 야자 주정추출물을 얻는 단계, 주정추출물에서 액상을 취한 후, 농축하여 제2 아레카 야자 농축액을 얻는 단계, 제1 아레카 야자 농축액 및 제2 아레카 야자 농축액을 혼합한 혼합액을 얻는 단계를 포함할 수 있다. 본 발명에 따르면, 아레카 야자로부터 유효성분인 카페인 및 테아크린을 동시에 높은 함량으로 추출할 수 있으면서, 보다 친환경적인 추출방법을 제공할 수 있다. 또한, 이에 의하여 제조된 아레카 야자 추출물을 포함하는 알츠하이머 예방용 조성물을 제공할 수 있다.
