PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of providing a highly precise magnetic resonance spectrum image by reducing the nonuniformity of the magnetic field due to eddy current.
SOLUTION: This magnetic resonance imaging apparatus acquires spectrum information under non-water-suppression by performing a non-water-suppressed measurement (a reference measurement) (a step 601), calculates a time change in the nonuniformity of a static magnetic field from time change characteristics (caused by the eddy current) of a magnetic resonance signal in a (k) space acquired in the step 601 (a step 602), calculates the adjustment amount of a magnetic field necessary for offsetting "the time change in the nonuniformity of the magnetic field" calculated in the step 602 (a step 603), measures the magnetic resonance signal under water suppression while adjusting the magnetic field based on "the adjustment amount of the magnetic field" calculated in the step 603 (a step 604), and finally, calculates the magnetic resonance spectrum image by applying Fourier transformation to the magnetic resonance signal under water suppression acquired by the step 604 (a step 605).
