The current invention concerns a device for the topical cryotherapy of dermatological disorders, the device comprising: a housing for holding a pressurized carbon dioxide cartridge; an applicator nozzle comprising (i) an internal channel for guiding the outflow of carbon dioxide from said pressurized carbon dioxide cartridge, and (ii) an applicator surface onto which carbon dioxide ice may be formed; and an actuator mechanism for controlling an outflow of carbon dioxide from said pressurized carbon dioxide cartridge to said applicator nozzle.
