Multi-layer wound dressing comprising: a) a first layer as an absorbent layer which contains a hydrogel matrix and b) at least a second layer which is deposited on the first layer on the side facing away from the wound, wherein the hydrogel matrix comprises 54- 60 wt.% propylene glycol prepolymer end-capped isophorone diamine and polyethylene oxide in an amount of generally 38-42 wt.% 0-5 wt.% inorganic chloride, as well as residual water, wherein the ratio of reactive isocyanate groups to amino groups of the diamine and should be 1,25-1,35.2. The wound dressing of claim 1, wherein the hydrogel matrix comprises 56-58 wt.% Of propylene glycol and a prepolymer with terminal groups of isophorone diisocyanate and a diamine based on polyethylene oxide in an amount of generally 39-41 wt.%. 3.
