The present invention relates to a composition containing rotenone which exhibits anti-obesity effects. More specifically, the rotenone composition of the present invention can be usefully used for preventing or treating obesity since rotenone has effects of reducing the size of a fat cell in dietary obesity caused by intake of high fructose and high fat, and suppressing fat accumulation in a liver.본 발명은 항비만 효과를 나타내는 로테논을 함유한 조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 자세하게는 로테논은 고과당 및 고지방 섭취에 의한 식이성 비만에서 지방세포의 크기와 지방량을 줄이고, 지방간 축적을 억제하는 효과를 나타냈기 때문에, 본 발명에 따른 로테논 조성물은 식이성 비만을 줄이는데 탁월한 효능을 나타내어 비만의 예방 또는 치료에 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.
