PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in solid soap, oil-rich soap containing a large amount of oil, which has heretofore been considered impossible to produce.SOLUTION: Provided is solid-form or paste-like solid soap obtained by adding, to a soap raw material containing as a main component an alkali salt of higher fatty acid obtained by a reaction of a higher fatty acid and an alkali agent, additional raw materials and kneading the mixture. As at least one of the additional raw materials, an oily component not subjected to the reaction or a hydrocarbon obtained from oil is added and kneaded to obtain oil-rich solid soap.
