In an arrangement of a rack (1) and a medical device (2) to be attached to the rack (1), the rack (1) comprises a first connection element (111) and the medical device (2) comprises a second connection element (211) which in an attached state of the rack (1) and the medical device (2) is releasably connected to the first connection element (111) of the rack (1) to establish an electrical connection between the medical device (2) and the rack (1). The first connection element (1 11) and the second connection element (211) each comprise at least two electrical contacts (111.1, 211.1), wherein in the attached state of the rack (1) and the medical device (2) via the at least two electrical contacts (111.1, 211.1) both a low speed data connection (15, 25) and a high speed data connection (14, 24) between the medical device (2) and the rack (1) is established. Thus, an arrangement of a rack and a medical device is provided which allows for an easy attachment of the medical device to the rack by providing a secure and reliable and at the same time versatile electrical connection between the medical device and the rack.
