The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising compound K as an effective component for preventing or treating of keratoconjunctivitis. The compound K is confirmed to have a treatment effect on keratoconjunctivitis through inhibiting keratocyte damage and keratocyte apoptosis due to the damage, and thus the compound K of the present invention can be used as a therapeutic agent for keratoconjunctivitis.본 발명은 컴파운드 K를 유효성분으로 포함하는 각결막염 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 컴파운드 K가 각막의 손상을 억제하고, 손상에 의한 각막 세포의 사멸을 억제하는 것을 통해 각결막염 치료 효과가 있음을 확인하였고, 이에 본 발명의 컴파운드 K를 각결막염 치료제로 이용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
