PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the rotation transmission mechanism of an endoscope for smoothly transmitting the rotation operation from the proximal end side to the distal end side inside a flexible guide tube when having a configuration that a soft rotation transmission wire and a hard rotation transmission wire are serially connected.
SOLUTION: As a rotation transmission wire 9, the soft rotation transmission wire 9B and the hard rotation transmission wire 9A are serially connected. Also, a gap between the outer peripheral surface of the hard rotation transmission wire 9A and the inner peripheral surface of the flexible guide tube 10(10A) is formed to be larger than a gap between the outer peripheral surface of the soft rotation transmission wire 9B and the inner peripheral surface of the flexible guide tube 10(10A, 10B).
