PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new matrix metalloprotease production inhibitor having good safety and high effect.SOLUTION: There are provided a matrix metalloprotease production inhibitor produced by compounding an extract of a Pteridophyte Blechnaceae Blechnum plant as an active ingredient, and furthermore a MMP1 production inhibitor belonging to a collagenase group.
