PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radioactive yttrium for medicines capable of changing the treatment performing administration of medicine for acquiring information on distribution within living body and administration of medicine for treatment purpose in two divided steps by utilizing only one kind of medicine, lowering the price of radioactive medicines required for diagnosis and treatment, and furthermore contributing manufacturing of medicines capable of correctly getting information on distribution within living body.
SOLUTION: Radioactive yttrium for medicines consisting of
90 Y having excitation energy of 682keV or91 Y having excitation energy of 556keV in addition to a ground state is characterized by being used for medicine which can be administered for both diagnostic and treatment purposes or diagnostic purpose. The radioactive yttrium for medicines forms by forcing specific reaction by irradiating fast neutrons from an accelerator to raw material targets containing90 Zr,91 Zr,92 Zr or93 Nb of condensation or non-condensation.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
