The present invention relates to a novel botulinum toxin composition with increased safety and reduced side effects. The composition of the present invention is prepared by adding zinc to botulinum toxin. As a result of intramuscular administration of the composition of the present invention containing botulinum toxin and zinc to the rat, it was confirmed that the survival rate of the rat was increased as well as the duration of the toxin efficacy was greatly extended.본 발명은 안전성이 증가되고 부작용이 감소된 신규한 보툴리눔 독소 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 조성물은 보툴리눔 독소에 아연을 첨가하여 제조된다. 보툴리눔 독소 및 아연을 포함하는 본 발명의 조성물을 랫트에 근투여한 결과, 랫트의 생존률이 증가하였을 뿐만아니라 독소 효능의 지속시간이 크게 연장된 것으로 확인되었다.
