The invention relates to an oral hydrosuspension gel comprising at least 15% (w/w) free praziquantel, at least 30% water and at least one gelifyer, and further to a palatable medicament for use in the oral treatment of camelids, which is based on a hydrosuspension gel comprising- 1-50% therapeutic agent that is sparingly soluble to insoluble in water,- 0.1-10% gelifyer selected from the group consisting of cellulose derivatives,- 10-30% gelifying excipient selected from the group consisting of 1,2-propane diol and glycerol, and- at least 30% water.
